Project life ~ Week seven

Dogs, house hunting, and love makes for kind of a busy week. For the first time I stamped on a picture. Turned out pretty good I think. I used Stampendous’ “Tiny Alphabet,” Maya Road’s “Singleton Antique Keys,” Technique Tuesday’s “Favorite Memories” and “This One” by Ali Edwards. This was also my first time using Freckled Fawn’s Heart and Cloud washi tape. Can't believe I'm keeping up with my PL!

Framed

This was for a friends daughter. I used the chipboard word “faith” and a frame from Michaels. I took out the glass and covered the back with the Paper Studio’s “Faith Crosses” paper. I cut a cross out of the Paper Studio’s “Faith Text” paper and distressed it with Tim Holtz’s Distress Ink “tumbled glass.” I covered the letters with Glitz “vintage love,” and My Mind’s Eye “four miles stripe” and “righteous dots.” I love My Mind’s Eye! This was so much fun to do and I hope she liked it.

I loved the “faith” frame I made so much that I had to make another one. For this one I used The Paper Studio “Old White Fence” and “Gold Wedding Texture” and Sandylion’s “White Wood” paper for the background, house, and fence. I covered the Chip Decor letters with paper from Basic Grey “Granola.” I am so in love with Basic Grey! And I think I like this frame a little too.
Ok, never too much of a good thing?!? This was for a friend of the family’s it is her children’s initials. It has Glitz “Hoopla Pipeworks,” the Paper Studio “Turquoise Gothic Stripe,” and Daisy d’s “Holly-Winter Blue” papers on large chipboard letters. But wait, there’s more.
This may be my favorite one, it was for some of my favorite people. I used tissue paper for the back,  Tinkering Ink Yuletide Monogram Letters for the “L” and Tinkering Ink Yuletide 8x8 papers for covering the chipboard letters. Yes, I am still hoarding all my Tinkering Ink papers.

Project life ~ Week six

This week we thought we had a buyer for our house, not so sure though. We took the big dogs to the park together for the first time and they did great, they even were good in the living room together. Logan had College Night. It really wasn’t a busy week, but it was a pretty good one.

Kitty Cait

A while back I made this card for a sweet young lady who really likes cats, and is a very colorful person. I used Color Box Lime ink, Momento Tuxedo Black ink, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares die, Authentique “Bundle” 6 x 6 pad, Clear Boarders stamp, and Inkadinkado “Patterned Pets.” Such a fun card to make.

Project life ~ Week Five

Spent some time with my mom this week, we went antiquing and had a wonderful lunch at a little place called Aroma’s! Best baked potato with cheese and bacon ever! Logan spent the weekend with us and we had a great time with him and the babies. Our little ones are moving to Ohio so it was a little sad. On an up note, I actually have done our Project Life for a whole month!

I used Heidi Grace Designs’ “Dreamer,” Unity’s “Love Runs Deep,” Lawn Fawn’s “Smitty’s ABCs,” (I love Lawn Fawn) and Stampendous’ “Tiny Alphabet.” And of course PL products.

Happy Valentine's Day

Since my better half follows my blog I couldn’t put this card up till now. Sweet and simple, just American Art Stamp’s “Balloons Over NY” colored with Scholar colored pencils, Gelly Roll “Black Sparkle” and “Clear Star.” It was then cut out and matted with Spellbinders Nestabilities’ “Labels Nine.” Hope your Valentine’s Day was beautiful and filled with love.

Miss You

Another card for my son. This one is based on the monster, Snortermer, that lived under his bed when he was young. When I was a kid I was afraid of the dark, so I had a friendly monster who lived under my bed to protect me. When my son was little I gave Snortermer to him to keep him safe. Hopefully he will pass him on to his child one day. Anyway, I hope this card reminds him of happy times…and Snortermer.

I used October Afternoon’s “Night Light” stamps for Snortermer and Fiskars’ “All Year Greetings” for the inside. I also used Spellbinders Nestabilities’ “Small Deckled Rectangles” and Broken China Distress Ink. However my favorite thing I used was the Whirly Girls’ “Wind Blown” paper that I used for the “monster.” I don’t think you can find Whirly Girls anymore, but I sure am glad I bought a lot of it when you could.

Project Life ~ Week Four

We took a lot of pictures with Logan and Dana this week. We had a fantastic time with them, love our kids. We also learned a crazy new game, not for the weak. We had a great weekend this week.
This week I only used two stamp sets this week, Recollections' "Splat" and Cloud 9 Design's "Dog."

Project Life ~ Week Three

How exciting, we never get snow so almost all our pictures are of snow this week! We also had a wonderful “date” day that couldn’t have been better. And the sweetest thing this week was a text from Logan. Really great week! I used Technique Tuesday’s “Avalon Capital Letter Large” and “O Christmas Tree.”

Project Life ~ Week Two

Week two was not that exciting and I’m afraid my pictures show that. I was sick most of the week so many of my pictures were “living room” pictures. However, at least I took some and I’m still doing PL so that’s ok. This week I used PL products, some Luxe Designs papers, and some Lily Bee Design “abc stickers.” I can’t get over how simple it is to keep up with each week.
