Week 15

Mom and I went to the beach for a few days and I finally got to eat at Lambert's Cafe...yummy! While we were gone Zuri Rose came into heat and started a new fashion trend! Fritz just wanted me to come back home. :) Mom also taught Logan and me how to make flowers for cakes! Logan was really good at it, me not so much. We also handed out sugar eggs this weekend.

Week 14

Okay...strange week! Logan has a new way he has to watch TV. He has to hold Nafia in his lap and try to see around her. I went shopping with the kids and they were complete goofballs! I'm afraid to ask what is going on with them and the mannequins!!! Zuri Rose scared the heck out of me when I thought she had been hurt! However she just attacked the red food coloring paste, it won. Tam and I just keep trying to pretend we're all normal.

What fun! We went kayaking with new friends Serena and Jason! This was our first time at Lay Lake and we will definitely be going back!

Week 12

The kids looked at another wedding venue and they have made a decision! They will be getting married at The Sterling Castle! It's a beautiful place with very sweet people. Zuri Rose had a spa day and is no longer a "great hairy beast!" And I got to spend the day with the sweetest little girl.

Week 11

Growing up, my Mom made the prettiest sugar eggs. This week she taught me how to make them! Mine are not as pretty as her's and I broke a few, but it sure was fun making them! Fritz and Zuri Rose (the great hairy beasts) wanted to go on a ride...so we did.

I love this stamp! Also, my first time coloring with Copic markers. I love how vibrant the colors are.  I need lots of practice but I'll get better. I will definitely be using these a lot more!

Week 10

Logan got new glasses this week, they look great! Tam bought me some material for curtains in my studio and Mom made them and I got them hung up finally. Love them; they're perfect! Our winter/Christmas wreath is still up because we have a nest with baby birds in it. And Tam loves me, and not just because she bought me Krispy Kreme donuts and K & J's cupcakes!

Week 9

We had a great time in Nashville this week. Tam had to work but I got to relax. Hanging out and reading at the Gaylord Opryland Resort is one of my favorite things to do when we go there for her work! It's always so pretty! We went to the Aquarium for dinner one night and it was wonderful! The food and the view were fantastic! And our waitress was one of the mermaids!

Week 8

A slow but good week. I went to visit mom, isn't she dressed so cute! She found us some kilts to wear to the rehearsal dinner! LOL! Long story. We had to stop and talk to these lovely birds on our way to town. It was a strange day! Tam and I went to Railraod Park. And as you can see Roxy just wanted to sleep all day!

Week 7

We had such a sweet week! First we went with the kids to look at a wedding venue. It's called The Oaks and it's beautiful! They both really seemed to like it, but I think they are going to look around at a few other places before they decide. Tam and I just hung out together being silly this weekend. We pretended to rake leaves :), then we went Pokemon hunting and found some really cool places in Alabaster. We finished off the week with K & J's cupcakes! So yummy!

Week 6

We had such a fun week! Brock came to hang out with us and to help Logan move back in. We're so excited to have Logan living with us, even if it is just till the wedding. Getting to spend time with him is one of our very favorite things. By the end of the week though we were all tired! Especially Fritz!

Week 5

This week Tam helped our church with their smoked butt sale. She really enjoys working with this group. We also finished insulating our little red barn. I also got to hang out with Logan and we went to the Galleria and saw some amazing Lego buildings! I love getting to spend time with him.

Week 4

They delivered our barn this week. Pop and Gidget supervised everything. Nafia was no help at all...but she's cute. We made some friends at church and they invited us to go on a hayride, bonfire and hobo cookout with them on Skunk Mountain. We had a great time!

Week 3

I finally got around to painting the guest bathroom this week! I wanted a really distressed, old, outdoor look and I love how it turned out! I also found the best way to paint screws! Logan will be moving home next month to save money for married life so we got a storage building...I've always wanted a red barn!

Our darling Fritz was neutered this week. I know this is a very normal thing but I was a nervous wreck. He of course was fine and by the next day acted as though nothing had happened. He did however take a few of his stiches out; I had to explain to him he wasn't a vet. Zuri Rose even helped watch over him. What a great start to the new year! Our sweet furbabies are doing so good together. Although Fritz did sneak off with us for a Starbucks! Tammy is loving finally getting to do her puzzles at the dining room table. 2017 The Beginning

2016? 2017!

Okay, I didn't forget my password or decide that 2016 Project Life was a lost cause! I did finish PL 2016, I just didn't have time to post it all. So just let me say 2016 was full of love and joy and excitement and was a really good year for us! Now on to 2017!                                                                                                   This is our year to not only spread light, but to be the light, I feel like this is the beginning of a very dark time for a lot of us; I am going to shine. I hope to be a beacon for anyone who needs a smile, a kind word or even a helping hand. I guess this means this is our year to shine. John 1.5
