Thinking of You

I really like getting mail, I think most people do, so I’m going to try to send my son a card at least twice a month while he’s away at college. He is getting a “Gaming” minor and is a comic book guy so for his first card I used Lawn Fawn’s “Critters Ever After,” Stupendous “Dragon Tower,” and Doodlebug Design Inc. stamps. A little coloring with Scholar Colored Pencils and it was done. Sorry, not sure why sometimes my pictures don't turn.

Project Life ~ Week One

Our first week of the new year was, to quote my friend, bittersweet. Our son moved away to college and while I’m very proud of him, wow, I miss him so much more than I ever thought I would. So week one was busy getting him moved and settled in, it was also a time for us to settle in as well. I really believe it’s the little things that add sparkle to life, and we were very lucky to have some of those too.
For week one I used Spellbinders Nestabilities’ “Small Deckled Rectangles,” Tim Holtz’s “Good Thoughts,” and Hampton Art’s “PostScript Calendar.” Quick, easy, and one week down…so far so good. :)

Project Life Twenty 13

You know, I didn't do it when my son was younger, or when he was doing drumline and all those other fun guy activities. As a matter of fact, I didn't even know it existed. However this year, our first year as "empty nesters" I'm doing it! Project Life here I come. I really like the Turquoise Edition and I'm trying out different pages, but so far I think I like it. I'm not sure how exciting it's going to be though I hope it will help us get out and do more, kind of a win/win situation.
So here is the first page of our Project Life Twenty 13!
Besides PL cards I used Unity's "Love you to Pieces,"Technique Tuesday's Ali Edwards' "The Story" and "Favorite Memories," and Lawn Fawn's "Smitty's ABCs" stamps. Can't wait to show you week one!
